2008 Symposium Research Underwriters
Program Outline | Agenda | Participants | Underwriters | Awards | Key Benefits

A large part of the Symposium’s success is providing an environment for industry stakeholders to have critical technical and strategic discussions that will move the industry forward. The Institute has its own opinions based on its extensive data center experience but enthusiastically invites input from other stakeholders including facility managers, data center operators, IT professionals, executives as well as IT and infrastructure vendors and service providers.

Research Underwriters will be able to use their educational Technology Innovation Presentation and Exhibit Hall presence to become more trusted advisors to senior-level user executives. During interactive conversations, Research Underwriters will learn what these valuable decision-makers want and need in terms of new products and services.

Premier Level Research Underwriters for Symposium 2008

APC would have a description here.
IBM is committed to working with Uptime Institute and leaders in government, industry and the environment toward solving the growing energy crisis. After a decade of investment and development, IBM launched Project Big Green, an energy efficiency roadmap, that will help IBM double the computing capacity of its 8 million sq. ft. of data centers in the next three years without increasing power consumption. IBM expects this effort will help save more than five billion kilowatt hours of energy per year. We are sharing this 5 step roadmap to green with our clients, and working closely with research organizations around the world to continue to develop greener IT solution technologies. IBM is pleased to be attending this year's Symposium. microsoft_web.jpg

We present TileFlow, a software product, which is designed to help you in analyzing the cooling performance of an existing data center, identifying the causes of cooling problems and rectifying them, studying failure scenarios, planning for future upgrades, and designing cooling systems for new data centers. It is the most widely used airflow modeling program for data centers. TileFlow gives the pressure distribution under the floor, the airflow through perforated tiles and other sources, and airflow and temperature map in the above-floor space. With TileFlow, you no longer need to go through the expensive and tedious trial-and-error process to improve the cooling of your data center. Data-center managers, engineering and architectural firms, equipment manufacturers, and consulting companies can benefit from using TileFlow. invest_iceland_web3.jpg modius_logo_web.gif
