Energy — The "New Disruptive Technology"
LEAN, CLEAN, & GREEN
The Global Future of Energy in Enterprise IT and the Data Center
Now in its fourth year, the Annual Uptime Institute Research Symposium continues to be the only global, all stakeholder technical, business, and professional conference dedicated to rapid improvement in energy efficiency of enterprise computing, networking, and data centers.
Symposium Delegates represent senior-level managers and professionals charged with designing, building and operating many of the largest data center operations in the world. It is a balanced, all-stakeholder meeting convened to deeply inquire into the issues of the rapidly growing energy consumption of large-scale enterprise IT.
This year’s Symposium is organized around three tracks:
LEAN
The Lean track is primarily concerned with IT performance and productivity improvement.
CLEAN
The Clean track is primarily concerned with the near-future of alternative clean energy sources and with non-toxic, recoverable, re-usable, renewable, recyclable materials in computing and electronics products.
GREEN
The green track is primarily concerned with present and near-future prospects for transformational energy efficiency improvements in and carbon footprint reductions of enterprise IT and the data center.
This year’s program is greatly expanded and will bring together over 800 delegates from all sectors of the enterprise computing industry. Participants will grapple with the challenges of enterprise IT in the era of power grid shortages, escalating consumption, cost increases, and carbon footprint growth. The goal is to help the industry develop approaches to high-density data center computing that are more economically, operationally, and environmentally sustainable.
