Design Document Tier Certification
Constructed Facility Tier Certification | Design Document Tier Certification | Tier Certified Sites

Protect Your Investment

Tier Certification by the Institute validates that your strategic investment is capable of meeting your organization’s performance and uptime objectives. It ensures that the incremental millions of dollars invested in Tier III or IV functionality are actually realized.

Optimize the Sustainability of Your Data Center
Tier Certification by the Institute is based on your business needs. It offers you a variety of different approaches to achieve the six performance requirements of the Tier Classification System. All solutions will help you maximize the performance and adaptability of your topology and equipment.

Anticipate Future Trends and Emerging Problems

The Institute gathers its unique knowledge from a database of more than 3,500 abnormal events. It uses this knowledge to identify latent or existing issues with the topology, sustainability, energy efficiency, and economy of your data center, and to deliver high-level, best practice solutions for mitigating them.

Design Document Tier Certification is a comprehensive, home office review of a data center’s as-built one-line drawings. The review is performed by a Principal-level team member.

Benefits:
This service is the solution for companies wanting to check or preview the Tier level of planned or existing sites. For proposed facilities, Design Certification offers the opportunity to make changes in accordance with the design’s scheduled review milestones. This preserves the project’s budget and momentum. Modifications that may be easily achieved during the design process can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to rectify in facilities under construction or recently completed.

Historically, Design Document Tier Certification has justified the pursuit of approval for Constructed Facility Tier Certification. If, however, the review demonstrates that the desired Tier level is not feasible given the facility’s constraints, this realization comes less expensively, because it requires fewer resources than Constructed Facility Tier Certification.
