Revolutionizing Data Center Efficiency Update |
This update uses a different background to reach the same Findings, Drivers, Recommendations, and Goal as in the original McKinsey Report. It takes the original conclusions further by demonstrating the benefits of adopting the Report's three recommendations for a data center of 40,000 square feet with a utility load of five megawatts. Using a baseline business "as usual" versus under the McKinsey/Uptime recommended "Energy Czar," over four years the OpEx and CapEx savings are $144 million with a reduction in 112,000 tons of green house gasses and a reduction in projected utility load increase of six megawatts.
