Green Enterprise IT Awards
geit_award.gifIn 2009, over 40 companies in 10 industrial categories applied to be recognized for their innovations in lean, clean, and green enterprise computing. This response reflects the recognition across the industry that in providing uptime, energy efficiency is as important as availability and resiliency. The Green Enterprise IT Awards were created to foster industry-wide information sharing and provide global recognition to those organizations leading the way to the future.

Winners were honored at the Green Enterprise IT Awards Ceremony held on April 15, 2009 at the Uptime Institute's 2009 Symposium in New York City.

Each company was globally recognized for its outstanding commitment to energy efficiency for the betterment of its own business performance and the eco-sustainability of our planet.

Honorees were formally acknowledged during the 2009 Symposium's Green Enterprise IT Awards Ceremony following the keynote address by Thomas L. Friedman, Pulitzer-Prize-winning New York Times columnist and best-selling author of Hot, Flat, and Crowded.
