W. Pitt Turner IV, PE, is Executive Director of the Uptime Institute and a Senior Tier Certification Authority for Uptime Institute Professional Services. He has helped clients justify several billion dollars of site infrastructure investments since 1992. He teaches the Institute's seminar on justifying data center investment. He and Mr. Hank Seader invented what has become the industry standard Tier-Level site infrastructure rating system.

Julian Kudritzki is Vice President of Uptime Institute. He has managed the expansion of Tier Program into South America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He continues to ensure the integrity of Tier Certifications worldwide and work with clients to broadcast their Tier awards. Julian has assisted in the development of numerous Uptime Institute publications and educational programs, including the Accredited Tier Designer curriculum.

Vince Renaud, PE, is Managing Principal & Tier Certification Authority for Uptime Institute Professional Services. He has 24 years of experience ranging from planning, engineering, design, and construction to start-up and operation. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Air Force Institute of Technology. Mr. Renaud co-authored numerous Tier Program publications.

Rick Schuknecht, is Vice President, Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability of Uptime Institute. He is a retired senior Naval Office who has focused on critical facility operations and management at the site and corporate levels for the past 14 years. He collaborated on the development of Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability, delivers its consulting and Certification complements, teaches the curriculum for Accredited Tier Specialist, and has written numerous data center operational guidelines for the Institute.

Terry Altom, PE, is a Senior Consultant & Tier Certification Authority for Uptime Institute Professional Services.

David Humphrey is a Senior Consultant for Uptime Institute Professional Services. He collaborated on the development of Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability. His career in critical facilities spans 29 years and includes experience as program manager of facility infrastructure, project manager for the design/construct of several large data centers, and chief of maintenance for a major industrial complex. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.

Chris Brown, PE, is a consultant for Uptime Institute Professional Services.

Tony Ulichnie is the Program Director for the Uptime Institute's Site Uptime Network-North America. As Program Director of the member-driven consortium, Mr. Ulichnie is responsible for planning, facilitation, benchmarking, abnormal incident reporting and analysis, and overall program success.

Alasdair Meldrum is the Programme Director for the Uptime Institute's Site Uptime Network-Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). In this role, he is responsible for developing the Network from its founding membership of 8 companies into a multi-group organisation. Alasdair is also responsible for planning, facilitation, benchmarking, abnormal incident reporting and analysis, and overall programme success.

Bruce Taylor is a 21-year executive of Information Technology media as a writer, editor, publisher, conference producer, speaker, and consultant specializing in IT publishing and conferencing. He is a founder of the technology, design and futurist conference PopTech, Knowledge Management World and ImagingWorld. In the early 1990s, Mr. Taylor served as publisher of International Data Group’s (IDG) Canadian IT publishing franchise. For ITWorld.com, Taylor is a regular interview host for IT thought-leaders.

Robert "Dr. Bob" F. Sullivan, Ph.D., had a 32-year engineering career at IBM. He was part of the IBM team that first identified zinc whiskers. Dr. Sullivan originated the Hot Aisle and Cold Aisle concept in 1993. For the Institute, he is a cooling systems specialist, expert diagnostician. He has performed detailed research on how computer room cooling actually works and performs cooling systems reviews worldwide.

Rob Menuet, PE, is responsible for mechanical systems technical review of the Institute research papers. He, with Mr. Pitt Turner, is the author of the Institute's Continous Cooling publication.

Richard Schlosser, PE
, has more than 20 years of experience in the application, design, and testing of electrical power generation and distribution equipment. He has extensive experience in the design and commissioning of power systems for computer and computer-related facilities. Mr. Schlosser is the Director of Electrical Engineering for TiePoint Engineering and brings to the Institute extensive experience in the design and commissioning of power systems for IT and IT-related activities.

Fred Mapp has an extensive amount of experience in the area of information technology systems, applications, infrastructure support, customer support and consulting services developed over 40 years with the World Congress on Information Technology, AMD, Honeywell, InfoSpan Corporation, American Express, IBM and his own consulting company, Quality Service Solutions.
